RUNNING TO SUPPORT THE KATIE LYNCH FOUNDATION
Looking for extra motivation? Training for a running event is hard work. What better way to stay focused and enthusiastic than to ensure your efforts have a lasting impact? We are looking for Charity Runners willing to take on the additional challenge of raising money for the Katie Lynch Foundation. Charity Runners can be either Half Marathon or Purple Shoes Challenge Competitors.
CHARITY RUNNER BENEFITS
- Extra motivation to make it to the finish line! Running for charity is different. Many of us enter races for personal goals: to complete a distance we haven't yet attempted, to get into better shape, to run a personal best. These are all great goals. But, running to help a cause adds something extra to the experience and keeps you going when the training gets toughest.
- On-line training and fundraising support- you don't have to do it alone! Runners train best when there's someone to push them. As a charity runner, you will receive 12 weekly training and fundraising tips from a Boston Marathon alum and Certified Personal Trainer with a MS in Kinesiology.
- The chance to win prizes! This year there will be fabulous prizes exclusively for Charity Runner's. The top fundraiser will be given his/her choice of prize. The remaining prizes will be raffled off to lucky Charity Runners. All Charity Runners who raise money for the Katie Lynch Foundation will receive one raffle ticket. FUNDRAISING MINIMUM
It is up to you. In keeping with Katie's motto "Parva Sed Potens" (Latin for "small but powerful") every effort counts. Being a Charity Runner is about more than raising money. It is about creating awareness and living your life in accordance to Katie's belief that "every human being is worth it."
