The moderately challenging half marathon course winds through scenic neighborhoods and up Heartbreak Hill in Newton, MA. There have been two alterations to the course from previous years. One change eliminates a difficult hill in the 12th mile. The other takes the course away from Newton Corner and crosses Beacon Street just to the east. The course will be OPEN to traffic with police and volunteers to assist runners throughout the course. The race begins and ends at Newton South High School.

The 5k runs along the same course as the half marathon for the first 2+ miles and then follows a footpath back to the finish line on school grounds.

This is the preliminary course route subject to final approval and certification. The race course will be USATF certified.
